BOVET MONO-RATTRAPANTE - Lot 38
BOVET MONO-RATTRAPANTE Men's steel wristwatch, circa 1940, silvered dial with sectors, painted Arabic numerals and hour markers, telemetric scale, blued leaf hands, small seconds at nine o'clock, 30-minute chronograph totalizer at three o'clock, "Bovet" mention and mono-rattrapante in the center. Mechanical chronograph movement caliber 84 patented by Bovet. Brown leather strap, steel pin buckle. Functional movement at the time of the expertise. A stainless steel mechanical chronograph movement wristwatch, c. 1940 Diameter 34 mm The single-slip function is offered by the Valjoux 84 movement patented by Bovet in 1939. The pusher at two o'clock acts as a mono-pusher and allows to start the chronograph, to stop it and to reset it to zero. But, interestingly, the shape of the crown on the pusher allows you, after stopping, to let it start again! The pusher at four o'clock allows you to stop the chronograph hand by pressing it hard, and when you release it, the hand returns to the position where it should be if it had not been stopped.
