Biography :
Between 1956 and 1960, Inderjeet Sahdev studied painting, sculpture and graphic arts at the Art College of New Delhi, graduating with a national diploma in sculpture. Founding member of the "Inconnus" group of painters and sculptors.
Inderjeet Sahdev received several awards in the 1960s, including the Special Jury Prize from the All India Fine Arts Society and the "National Prize" from the Lalit Kala Academy in 1962. Since I960, he has taken part in several group exhibitions, at the All India Fine Arts Society and the Lalit Kala Academy's national exhibitions, as well as all the "Unknown" group exhibitions.
In 1963, he was awarded a scholarship by the French government and went on to work in the studio of Colla Marini and Henri Adam at the Ecole des Beaux-arts de Paris, where he was awarded a prize with honors.
Following his return to India, he began teaching at the Arts College in New Delhi. In 1966, Inderjeet Sahdev emigrated to Canada, where he took part in the Montreal Sculpture Symposium.
In 1981, Inderjeet Sahdev moved to Paris. In 1983, he took part in "Sculptures d'expression", an event organized by the Musée des Monuments Nationaux. In 1999, he was guest of honor at the XXth Salon des Artistes in Rueil-Malmaison, France.
