RENE CARCAN (1925 - 1993). EAU FORTE. RENE CARCAN (1925 - 1993) La colline" ("The Hill"), Etching and aquatint on paper, no. 8/150, signed lower right and titled. Framed. H 11 x W 14 cm René Carcan was born in Brussels on February 25, 1925, and died on January 19, 1993. He is a Belgian engraver and watercolorist. He originally trained in sculpture at the Académie de Saint-Josse-Ten-Noode with Gustave Jacobs, then, from 1941 to 1946, in painting at the Académie de Bruxelles with Jacques Maes and Léon Devos.
