"A watercolorist by nature, Catherine JOYEUX was a figurative painter, interpreting bouquets,
interior scenes, landscapes and house portraits.
Then linen canvas inspired her to explore gesture, movement, abstraction and inner creation.
To mark the 500th anniversary of Rabelaisien's birth, Catherine
JOYEUX composed "Survivance", the forerunner of a highly original creative
creative research.
Then came Chateaubriand's 150th birthday. With admiration and respect, the painter
into the intimate world of the writers. The basis for this is a precious work of reading that is
which goes hand in hand with the discovery of the manuscripts.
"Handwriting has the fascinating quality of being a natural extension of the writer's hand, at the moment of writing.
of the hand of the writer, at the moment of writing, with the emotions of the day. "
Catherine JOYEUX is sensitive to handwriting not only for its graphics, but also
but precisely for the life that carries it.
