PAUL DUPRE-LAFON (1900-1971) AND HENRI REY JEWELER MANUFACTURER Rectangular vermeil (800 thousandths) minaudière decorated with a fine trellis pattern on all sides. The hinged lid is inlaid with a circular monogram in relief "D.L" designed by Paul Dupré-Lafon. The object opens in three parts. The top lid reveals a compact with a mirror on the reverse side and a powder container opening perpendicularly in the opposite direction. The lower part also opens on a hinge. In a supple brown-tinted leather case. Enclosed is a leaflet with four preparatory drawings by Paul Dupré-Lafon in graphite and ink, bearing the artist's dry stamp. And a letter from Maison Henri Rey 38 rue de La Cannebière, Marseille, addressed to Paul Dupré-Lafon, in which the manufacturer announces that the work has been completed. The preparatory drawing will be given to the buyer, as well as a copy of the correspondence between the artist and the silversmith.
