COLONIAL EXHIBITION OF MARSEILLE 1906 "Section Tunisienne", small Italian-style folio album, 250 x 348 mm, containing 18 photographic prints 170 x 230 mm and one folding view 212 x 422 mm (17 silver prints and two albumen prints), half green chagrin titled in gold on the front cover. Animated views of buildings, interiors and exteriors, phosphates, agricultural products, public works. The 1906 Marseille Colonial Exhibition was the third to be held in France, after Rouen in 1896 and Rochefort-sur-Mer in 1898. From the end of the 19th century, Marseille was one of the major French cities to benefit from the expansion of the French Empire, with trade growing considerably. (104174)
