Text by Jean Badovici, table, photographic views, plans and details of interiors.Charles Plumet was, with Tony Selmersheim, one of the founders in 1896 of the Groupe des cinq, which later became L'Art dans Tout, and played a part in the development of Art Nouveau. A ceramist and decorator, he designed numerous stores in Paris, delivered private mansions and built several apartment blocks. In 1925, he was appointed chief architect at the Arts Décoratifs exhibition, where he was openly hostile to Le Bourget's innovations.
